Six months ago I did one of the scariest things of my life.
Before me was ridicule, embarrassment, shame and scorn. I was about to be ran over by a steamroller of divorce, disown-ment, career exile, hatred from my kids and death by stoning.
OK. Maybe not. But it felt that way.
What was really happening, was me facing the risk of doing a better job of living my purpose and the cost to do that. I had to be more honest, more open and more transparent. In short, I had to sit the "send" button...and I had to be vulnerable.

You probably guess it already, but the act that brought the threat of complete annihilation was to send the email that launched this Mighty Purpose community 6 months ago. And for the record, my wife didn't leave me, my kids don't hate me any more than they normally do, I haven't been killed, and I don't believe I was mocked.
Mighty Purpose is not a middle school crush, so I won't mark our longevity (and cues for celebration) in the terms of weeks and months. But, I am proud that I have been able to create experiences you value enough to participate in, discover purpose-related content you appreciate, and share ideas you find worth reading.
One individual, Becky Bray, appreciated what we were doing here enough to create the 2 Mighty Purpose logos (on top of the page and the one in the upper left of this post). Thank you Becky.
So with us celebrating our 6 months together, I figured I would organize for you in one place your 6 favorite Mighty Purpose posts. They represent what you found the most useful, engaging and motivating. If you missed any of them, they are right here for you. Please enjoy.
1. 3 People You Should Know, And What Will Happen To You After You Die: After exploring what your death means to your life's purpose and what you should do about it, we met 3 very cool people. I have an additional thought not in this piece I want you to consider. You should be afraid to die...if all you value in life is dependent on you living that life right now.
2. 4 Things You Need for the Good Life: This is where I first shared the Wellbeing Test, and your response to this piece inspired a series of posts that you could build into your own personal program of purposeful living.
3. Is 33 Birthday Wishes Too Many?: It turned out it wasn't, even with the bonus 34th wish thrown in there. I really appreciated the response I received. Even though my birthday has come and gone, you can still get involved in the fun. But, just to warn you, I am out of reverse birthday gifts. The good news is that tackling even 1 item on this list will rewarding on its own.
4. Legendary?: When does simply taking action turn into something legendary? You probably can't plan the legend, but you can't get one if you don't act. Here I share one example.
5. This Is Possibly The Most Dangerous Thing on This Site: You get 2 things by reading this one: first, you get an excellent resource list to help you on your purpose journey; and second, and more importantly, you get a set of rules you should use before engage any resource for any reason.
6. "If Not Me, Then Who?" Is Not Easy, But It's Worth Answering: The answer is probably no one but you. Here we met the founder of NūNa Wellness and learned a thing or two from this young woman who knew she had to take action.
Be well and thank you so much,
Sterling Lynk
